Mighty Orbots aired for 13 half-hour episodes on ABC at 9 a.m. on Saturdays from September 8, 1984 to December 29, 1984, with a broadcast in Japan in 1988. A human inventor in the 23rd century mans the Galactic Patrol with his robot team who can transform into a giant robot. It was directed by Osamu Dezaki and Akio Sugino with music by Yuji Ohno. Vocal talents included narrator Gary Owens, Barry Gordon and Don Messick .
