my son dad dont want anything to do with him but dont want to give up his rights to another guy. how would i terminate his rights

File a case against your husband for annulment of marriage or divorce based on the ground that he abandoned you and your son. If the annulment case or divorse is decided in your favor, it carries with it the termination of the paternal rights over your child.

You can't, only the court can. And they aren't going to unless you have absolute proof he is a bad father and even then, he will have many chances to improve first.

You should try to mend the fences and foster a healthy relationship between the two. One day your decision not to will fly back in your face.

you can't! only he can sign his rights away. or........
you can terminate his rights if he accidentally dies from a stray bullet, eating radiator coolant or gets attacked by pit bull while wearing pork chops in his pockets.
