what would be the ranking of Mr.Wickham being that he owns no title [such as colonen or Lieutenant, I'm assuming it's a low rank] Is he just an officer then? "Officer" Wikham? But STILL what would his ranking be in the infantry?

From memory Mr Wickham was never referred to by rank. It is to be presumed however that as rank is earned or bought(money) and he had neither spent enough time in war to earn and no money to buy it he was the lowest rank. Something along the lines of ensign which answers to mister as reference.

What I read on the subject is that it wasn't Mr. Wickham that was a military officer, but his son George who was a Lieutenant and attended Cambridge.

Mr. WICKHAM, steward to old Mr. Darcy.
His son George; Lieutenant in the ----shire Militia; went to Cambridge.
First impressions. Illustration
Elizabeth struck with his appearance.
Darcy to Elizabeth: Wickham has "happy manners".
Caroline Bingley to Elizabeth: Wickham "infamous" and "insolent".
Elizabeth to Mrs. Gardiner: Wickham "beyond all comparison, the most agreeable man I ever saw"; "whether married or single, he must always be her model of the amiable and pleasing".
Described in Darcy's letter.
Darcy's letter: Wickham's perfidy to Georgiana Darcy.
Elizabeth weighs probabilities, and realizes that she doesn't objectively know much in his favor except for his "pleasing countenance".
Elizabeth now struck by impropriety of his disclosures and inconsistency of his verbal professions with his actions.
Elizabeth is not pleased when he returns his attentions to her after Mary King has left town, considering that he had turned from Elizabeth to Mary King when the latter had inherited £10,000.
Elizabeth indulges herself in taunting him.
Darcy's housekeeper describes him.
Had left a lot of debts behind in Derbyshire.

I don't believe he has an official military ranking, so he's an uncommisioned officer of some type. Normally my friends and I just rank him as "bast***" (sorry!)
