Racism is one of the most intolerably stupid crimes of humanity. Where you're born doesn't make you any less human.

Don't give up hope on the Western World though. They're not all evil- some people are decent, whether they show it or not. You've just had the unfortunate mispleasure of meeting the wrong sort of people.

yes I can blame you. You decide how you act. You decide if you want to take the 'higher road' or not. You make these decisions not someone else and not a magic 8 ball. So you need to figure out how you are going to function in this world if you refuse to like a certain race, especially when they are the majority race in the nation you choose to live in.

Now, to ask a question you are not going to like but one you should think about. Did your actions when you met these people do anything to turn them off of you personally? Becomes some times people act like they do not because they are racist but because of a reaction to your actions. If you did not do anything that could have caused that, then I am really sorry to hear about how you have been treated because that is now how most white people really are.

no, this white grl doesn't blame you for feeling the way you do. As a group, you could definately consider all white people bad. Us whitey'z are responsible for the majority of evil and wrong doing in this world, especially to non-white people - we can't seem to get enough of that - history proves this. Like a needle in a haystack you can find the good/sincere wht people - but your right it's difficult. Your entitled to give up cause decent wht people shouldn't be harder to track down than a yeddy - yet we are. I have to wrestle with my own dislike of white people - constantly- it's o.k. You can't change stupid , so what can you do really? I'm curious to know where you've been living, cause theres different degrees of ignorance from region to region - I at least hope for you that you haven't been living in a predominately white/cracker box town, and that you have other races to befriend and surround yourself by.

I think you are living in the wrong neighborhood.... I have many friends from everywhere and honestly, skin colour is the last thing I notice when I meet someone new. That doesn't necessarily make me a good person, but I'm not racist and none of my friends are. People are people, they are good or bad or somewhere in between and it has absolutely nothing to do with their skin colour, but with their integrity and character. If situation is that bad in the area you live - either move somewhere else or show everyone who made racist remark about you that you are better person then they are.

This is kind of a touchy subject for most people. See, I was taught that everyone was equal. Race didnt matter. Then I went to Basic Training for the US Army and I learned something interesting. Most white people arent raised anymore to discriminate against other races. They learn it as they grow up. I didnt know one racist person when I showed up, but by the time i left, most of the white guys my platoon were racist in some way. And heres why.

Every single black dude pooled together and said screw everyone else. They were down right nasty to everyone who wasn't black. For instance, If a fight was about to happen between a white guy and black guy, all the black dudes were right there waiting to help kick the white guys ***. White dude and a white dude? Psh...they didnt give a damn.

Some of the black guys had responsibilities that included interacting with everyone in the platoon by force...being nice to anyone but black dudes was out of the question. they would screw over the white guys and make sure the black guys were taken care of. This went on for 9 weeks. And then I went on to see it in the real army. It makes me sick. But Im a white guy...what do I know about racism right? Shoot, Ive never experienced it before right?

Where i come from there arent many black people, so my first impression of black dudes was pretty bad to say the least.

Yet, I still remain to this day aware that racism goes both ways. And more importantly, that it's wrong. I have several black friends now. Most of whom I've met by serving in the army.

The only thing you can do about racism is stop it on your end. In other words, see how rediculous stereotyping really is and find yourself a white friend!

Racism is like hair lice. Its a plague. understanding and stopping racism is up to every one. So grab a bottle of NIX from the grocery store and spray it on the next bigot you find...

Yes i can blame you because now you have become the thing you hate the most, and that is a racist prick. Being racist goes both way's for black and white, if i don't like you it will be because your a jerk and not because your black. Some of the most interesting people that i know are of other races. My children are of Asian decent as is my girlfriend. And i always tell my children to give all people a chance.

Yes I blame you. You sound like many black racist people. I see more racist attitudes from black people then from any other race. Do you hate Hispanic people too. I hope you realize someday that not all people are racists, I have friends of black, hispanic and oriental races, the subject of color or race has nothing to do with who my real friends are. I am sorry that some racist white people have made bad comments to you, but I have been verbally attacked by a few black racists, it all comes down to being smart enough to respect people for who they are and not their race.

You need to get out more and meet a more varied group of people, you are obviously moving in the wrong cicles. And yes I can blame you becuse if you are basing your judgment on the few white people who have been rude to you then you are doing an injustice to other white people who dont have an issue with race.

i am sorry you have met some really ignorant people in your past, but that doesn't mean you have to become as ignorant as they are--judge each person for who they are as individuals not because they look a certain way on the outside. some would say you are just as racist by your statement. i think that you are just not informed--get out and make some new friends, it is a blessing to have friends from all races and cultures, it opens up your horizons and broadens your beliefs!
