I am in a same sex relationship with my female partner, have been with her for 7 years, love her very much, and the friend that she was originally friends with that introduced us, she and I have become basically best friends, hanging out, having fun, thats it, but my partner is so jealous, and insecure, and it is really starting to cause problems with our relationship, there is nothing romantic with myself and my friend, we are just friends, my friend has said, IF I WERE SINGLE AND NOT WITH ONE OF HER DEAREST FRIENDS, SHE WOULD DATE ME! but I am not single and I am with one of her oldest friends. My partner has no reason to be so insecure or jealous, I sit at home all week long, by myself cause she works nights and sleeps days.. then on Friday I go with my friend and we hang out...now I get flack about this... HELP what do I do? How do I deal?

do you tell her what your feeling? my girlfriend used to get more jealous then she does now. i asked her how she would feel if i got jealous, she said that it would mean to her that i felt somuch for her that she would like it, but she also said that it would mean that she would want me to stop hanging out with people that i like hanging out with. but i also give her the option to hang out with me and the people that she gets jealous at, but she has to play nice.lol also i found out with my own self that i feel more insecure and jealous when i'm not the one that is providing that type of entertainment for my partner, im lacking in something that i think i should be able to give to my partner... maybe she feels that every friday is set for another person and not her and because of her schedual she doesn't get the chance to go and hang out with you and just feels bad that she doesn't get to see you laugh and be happy with her, and it's not because she thinks you intamate with her, maybe one friday you could wake her up and say " baby, i want to go out with you tonight, i always hangout with that other girl, but wish it was you all the time that is there with me... i know your tired and this is your time to sleep, and if you don't want to that's ok... but i love you, and our time together. if she is all about the thoughts of your guys having sexual relations, i told my girlfriend that i won't ever cheat on her, (and i won't) and if she is going to constantly accuse or assume that i will then that is the only thing that is going to be on her mind and she will never have the chance to enjoy our relationship, so we shouldn't be together if i never get the chance to be faithful, when i already am

Lesbian drama! You need to pick. If the dang girl says she wants to date you, and you already have a girlfriend, then you just need to not be friends with her. You need to worry about your girlfriend and not this other girl. Would your girlfriend like that you are hanging out with a chick that wants to get with you? Hell, no. You need to stop calling this friend of yours, and spend some time with your woman.

well...I'd be a little upset if my friend told my boyfriend " IF I WERE SINGLE AND NOT WITH ONE OF HER DEAREST FRIENDS, SHE WOULD DATE ME!"

you're going to have to make sure that your girlfriend know that you wouldn't do anything with her friend and that you like (or love) HER , not her friend...tell her if you did like this friend you would be with her(the friend) and not you (your girlfriend). And maybe you should spend a little less time with your friend.

i hope everything goes the way you want it to and you two girls are happy :)....GOOD LUCK

Just talk to her, tell her she's your world. That would be sufficient.
