I beg to differ with the above answers. Nouns CAN have opposites -- yes, related to how we describe them. In this case, each noun acts as a category of adjectives.

North - South
East - West
Darkness - Light
Day - Night
Ice - Steam

Salt - Tofu (or other bland food)
Salt - Lemon (or other sour food)

And so on.

The different adjectives for taste are: salty, sweet, bitter, sour, pungent, and astringent. It is probably a matter of opinion on which ones we consider opposite. My opinion:

salty-bitter, sweet-sour, pungent-astringent

Yes, it needs to be an adjective or an adverb to have an opposite. Nouns cannot be opposites.

And yes, black pepper is bitter.

You want the piercing to balance out your facial features, so if you've got more features to your left than you right have it on your right, otherwise your features wont blend as much as you would probably desire.
