Alien life, if intelligent, would probably be able to communicate just as we do. Contacting aliens is another matter. We don't know what sort of communications they might have, although at first glance we might assume it would be electromagnetic, using light or radio waves.
If you were to meet an alien face to face, you would surely be able to figure out a means of communicating, provided they are interested in doing so. Sign language and mathematical skill would probably work just fine.
After all, we all have to perceive and think about the universe, so mathematics and logic will have to pretty much work the same. Otherwise, we would draw very different or erroneous conclusions about what we see around us.

i think alien existence exists someplace else however the distances in contact make it very not likely we've been bodily visited. First touch shall be the interception of clever radio wave varieties yet even then, it fairly is in simple terms one way touch. it would take centuries or greater to deliver a sign and get a reaction lower back, if ever. the only useful expectation I truthfully have over here couple of hundred or thousand years is to the two locate microbial existence someplace in our photograph voltaic equipment (this has a greater perfect risk of happening quicker) or possibly intercepting an clever radio sign. And that may not substitute lots different than confirming our suspicions that we are actually not the only existence in the universe.

the most obvious language to connect with an alien life form is through some sort of pictoral language like heiroglyphs. It is why nasa sent voyager off to deep space with pictoral depictions of earth life. Of course if the civilization is advanced, it may be able to understand mathematical expressions. Just like some puzzles that we see in magazines where asome simple mathematical expressions are given in symbols. So that we can decipher the meaning of the symbols.

My opinion is that life on other planets will so different than the life that we're used to that we may not recognize or notice it as life. So communicating with other lifeforms will be difficult even with today's technology.

Good question- its a tossup between building a huge radio (It would take all the worlds power to power it), we could build a starship (someday) work on the governments top secret "Stargate" program (High probability) but essentially, we don't know but these are on the list of "Possibles"

All of the people who allege abduction believe that the communication is telepathic.
That is once they are already "here".
