Final Fantasy series.....from Snes to the PS2. Everyone of 'em is unique with great story and twist (well except for FFX2...well it sucks).

The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time...seriously, what more could you ask for in a videogame? It's got fighting, a great story, puzzles, sidequests and good graphics, considering it was for n64.
