In school days, we used to say that lians are a class higher than the huays, while they can afford more branded stuff and dress classier. While bengs are a grade higher than the sengs. Lians Haha. So usually, Bengs are paired up with Lians, and the Sengs are paired up with Huays!

Basically no difference.
The terminology started off with 'Ah Lian' and 'Ah Huay' referring to young Chinese women who typically speak slang (and often vulgarities) and stereotyped as anti-intellectual, superficial and materialistic and shallow. 'Ah Beng' and 'Ah Seng' are for the male counterparts.
Today, the terminology is simplified to 'Ah Lian' and 'Ah Beng'.
