NO!!..Not at ALL!
I'm straight and I have had 3 really good girlfriends that are gay.
That was years ago. After a jillion moves, on everyones part, we got slowly out of touch.
It's really kind of like having male friends. We can bond but just without the sex. That's all. I think MOST straight females feel that way.
I wouldn't worry. If you get a roomate that has a problem with it, just tell the dean about it.
They encounter this all the time. They would just place you with someone who wasn't homophobic.
There are a lot of us! We love you for who you are, not your choice in sexual partners! GEESH.
I promise. You'll be fine. You have nothing to fear. This is college, NOT high school.
You'll find a little bit more maturity there and open mindedness.
AND OTHER gay girls. They're easy to find in college.
Good Luck! And DON"T WORRY sweetie.

I wouldn't care. It's their own business and sexuality should be the least of their worries. I'd pick a gay roomate over an annoying or dangerous straight one.

just make it clear to your room mate that you will not check her out, peep on her, and will not get interested in her! you are far too much a self respecting person to ruin the wonderful friendship that you two might have. just tell her you want to get this thing outta the way.
and please keep to your promises. do not look when she is changing and stuffs like that ok? never betray her trust.
i was caught in this kind of a situation before. a whole room filled with naked girls bathing (public baths in Japan) with a blushing me. i didn't peak but hey, i'm a whuss so who knows what'll happen if i did. it is hard but you'll survive.
don't worry too much about the fact that you are gay, just enjoy your college years sweetie! for all you know, you being gay might not even be an issue cuz your room mate is gay too ;)
good luck sweetie!

I think girls are generally more okay with it than guys would be. Just be clear with her that you are gay and that you won't make a move on her. She'll probably just shrug and forget about it. A lot of straight girls experiment in college anyway.

I personally wouldn't care accually i would just be straight with them and tell them im not a lesion and tell them not to hit on me or kiss me or look at me like a guy we would be cool i mean im a christian and i dont do the lesbion thing and i wouldnt treat you any different or mean cause im easy-going and quiet and nice sometimes im a push-over lol but as long as you we were friends and just be buds ya know just keep your sexual parts to you unless you needed advice other than that were cool.

Well, first im sorry I looked...Im not totally straight...I would not care by any means even if I was totally straight, I never have had a problem with same sex relationships or any of the above...My biological mother became a lesbian after she divorced my dad so I have always been raised with a few mothers...The path you choose is your path...Don't let the rocks throw you off your path...

It doesn't matter if your roommate at college is straight, bi, or a lesbian. Students at college are pretty open-minded, or at least should be, cause it is a place to learn about new things and learn about different people. I heard of one girl who was uncomfortable with her lesbian roommate's girlfriend coming over, but other then that nobody cared. Be proud of who you are. If they have an issue with it then it's their issue, not yours. Have fun at college.
