DL Tom Lehrer's song from the web, where he SINGS the periodic table to the tune of the "Major General's Song" from the Pinafore. Short of that, make up a sentence with each word beginning with the initial letter of an element, like the one for all the presidents of the U.S. (which I can never remember).

I remember having to do that.. i hope you already have some down! Hydrogen , Helium , Lythium , Berillium, Boron , Carbon , nitrogen, oxygen, Florine?.. haha. I think the way i remembered is by memorizing them in groups of ten and ten.
Know the first letters of the first ten
H. H. L. B. B C. N. O...etc and give each one of your fingers a letter.. then once you have all the first letters down, go back and give it a name.. Hydrogen.. Helium.. Lithium... etc... And the faster you say it in your head the easier it becomes to memeorize because it becomes like a song...
well that worked for me anyway.. but it might be a complicated method. im not sure... good luck!

Make a song or a phrase or something that uses the names of the elements (in order). Come up with a mnemonic. Write them out over and over; the writing and the repetition really help.

take the 20 elements abbreviations and try to make a sentence using them, by making each abbreviation resemble a word. worked like a charm for the noble gases at least, for me.
good luck!

I used to have a song or a lengthy capture word with words that matched the letters of the elements. My instructor taught it to us that way - besides the undeniable fact that it replaced into multiple years in the past i will't undergo in options it anymore. per chance you could make up your own song or word to undergo in options them?

What I did was kinda silly, but it worked for me, and I have ADD. I associated The elements with abreviations for things. PB=Lead (peanut butter and lead sandwich) I know sounds lame, but it worked for me. good luck!
