Hello

I believe not, it depends on who you are and that all it depends on. We have the choice as a individauls to do what we like with our life within the USA. I would say more lonely people would be in countries where you have no food to eat and have a illness laying there in bed wishing they had a solution?

Privacy: Don't be so private, go to your local store and speak with some one you normaly would not, say Hi or what ever comes to your mind :)

Nursery Home: This is choice of the person, Personally I would never do this and would have my mother close to me NO matter what out of any home, this again is a persnal choice that anyone in the world could make where ever you are!

Most Marriages Don't Work out:

Well I would say most do if you love your partner?

I think that you are generalizing the perception of America a bit much. I think that some Americans act as you describe, but to say that all behave that way is like saying that all Italians are misogynists, or that all people who are of Middle Eastern origin are terrorists.
The truth lies in the middle, my friend. Americans aren't very lonely because they tend - again, a generalization - to be pretty friendly people. It is foolish for anyone to define all of us by the current president's admittedly shady and disappointing behavior.
I think there was a study done once on who who most depressed people were (rates of suicide, clinical depression, etc.) and I think it was the people of Norway that came out ahead (depending on how you want to look at that).

There was a study done on the happiest place on earth. US rated 150 out of 178. I would say we are not only lonely but unhappy too...

The study focused on quality of life, family ties, wellness, etc.

Surprisingly, the top ten happiest places to live, were all in third world countries....go figure, wealth, technology and freedom, don't always guarantee happiness..

i dont think so becuz if you think about it we cant be isolated becuz we're the Superman country always trying to help or win gold medals or be as advanced as other countries. our money may not be as valuable as the euro but we do have a tendency to have romantic places. just think about it, the train, might get mugged, but you'll have a 1 in 6 chance of always sitting next to a hot girl. oh and i guess becuz we dont have a definte culture, your parents shape the family's bond, my family is very together, meet every weekend and in between and always help each other and will always jump into a fight to help. with marriages, i guess because its a phase to jump into marraiges so early that maturity and not realizing what we really want in life affects our marriages.
