well yeah you can do this, just start your burning software(in my case it's nero burning rom) and chosse that you want to burn a video cd, then drag and drop the video file to the "MPEGAV" folder and burn it, it's an internal mechanism how they do it and i dunno think you gotto grasp it that much, anyways your work will be donw this way

No. Sorry. Not even by overburning. You will either have to split the video onto 2 discs or burn it onto higher capacity media such as DVD recordable.

You could compress it using compression software. Would it possible for you to make DVDs instead? They hold so much more data!

The answer is simply no, u might wanna to convert u format. or cut video size.
