This worked for me.
I put a piece of Romaine lettuce on the bottom of the tank. The fish will nibble, that's fine. Wait about a half hour, the snails will climb on for a snack, and you can lift the lettuce leaf out covered in snails and put it down your garbage disposal. You don't want to release any snails into your local ecosystem, by putting them in the trash.
If you don't have a garbage disposal, pour salt on all of them so you are sure they are dead before you throw them away.
Repeat treatment until you don't see anymore snails. Then do it again once a week for about a month to be sure you got them all.
Good Luck.
PS. I don't recomend putting any chemicals or medicines in your tank unless it is absolutely necessary. You could spoil the beneficial bacteria that are helping keep your tank clean. If you over use the antibacterial agents, they may not work when you really need them. All the dying snails will make your tank very dirty anyway, best just remove them before they cause any more problems.

One reason you might have this problem is that many types of snails can reproduce mono sexually. One little snail may have sneaked in on a plant or with a fish and soon you have a tank full. So you can try to pull them out but some types of fish really enjoy them. Loaches are popular for this and are good all around tank cleaners. My personal favorite is the Clown Loach which is a very attractive fish and fun to watch if you have a tank big enough to handle a small herd. That's when you find out about why they are called clowns. The best thing to do is remove them when you can and use a predator like the loaches as well. It will take time as the snails will be busy replacing the ones you get rid of but short of sterilizing everything when you clean the tank until you don't see them anymore I don't there is a choice.

Try getting other types of fish that would eat the snails. My new planted tank was loaded with snails when I put my gouramis in. In a few days all the snails were gone!

buy a clown loach or 2, they will eat your snails. However I hope you have a good sized tank as they do get quite large.

You need to treat you tank with Tetracycline..and NEVER give your fish Brine Shrimp...it contains the immature snails you're getting.
