There are simple questions that have no possible answer, like;
What is the largest integer?
There is no possibile anwser because 1 can always be added to make a larger integer.
We need significant knowledge about something to even know that there is no possible answer. Otherwise, the question just has no known answer, or we don't know whether it has a possible answer or not.

Not really . But yes there are some questions for which it is difficult to find an answer to or give an answer to . What you have mentioned above is a practical situation . People at times do certain things because they feel like doing it & not necessarily attaching a reason to it . Sometimes its their gut feeling . Sometimes they dont trust others to disclose the answer . People dont always follow their mind , at times they follow their heart . And when emotions come in and logic goes out , it gets difficult to answer because then it becomes a matter of feelings which can only be felt , not heard .

There are questions which seemingly dont have an answer. Take the Buddhist zen koans for example. eg. What is the sound of one hand clapping? If a tree falls in the woods but no-one hears it, does it make a sound? I guess its a matter of how you look at things. These types of questions were given to Buddhists, where they would sit and think about the question for 2 or 3 days, trying to find an answer. They were designed to calm wandering thoughts and bring enlightenment, by forcing the student to think outside the square.

Humans always pride themselves to be a higher species because of their ability to think and make decisions. In my opinion, the ability to think is starting to get in the way of our lives. Because people think, and everyone think differently, quarrels and fights are started. Because people think, their school essays get discredited; students are not supposed to think, they are supposed to 'think' like people of the past who had written some books or some form of evidence and include those in the essays. Because people think, those who don't think have to conform to the ideas of the former. Because people think, they cannot come to a decision about some things and it will always be there, never-ending, never gonna be solved. Because people think. Too much in fact. Wouldn't it be good if everyone just do things without thinking too much? Go for it. On impulse. On instinct. Would that make things better? Look what has all the thinking done to us. Yes, we have the technology, the entertainment and everything else which people of the past did not have but we no longer have the simplicity in people. I'm not saying that people in the past did not think but they were smarter. They don't think so much. What's the point of thinking so much and still no conclusion and decision could be made? Doesn't that make you feel worse?
Bottomline: we think too much. Don't k. To whoever this is applicable to.

it basically depends on the point of view.
in general, every question has an answer, that is indeed the sense of asking - even if there is no answer, someone will go and find it.
of course, there are things we do not know and even in science there are unsolved problems, but the thing is that the fact of the uniqueness and individuality of the human states that whatever he or she believes is considered as an answer, no matter if it's right or wrong or proven by others.
so like illusion-doll said, even if there is a question without an answer, it is more important what we choose to believe - or choose to simply not ask.

You might be confusing answers with proof. All questions must have an answer, but may not be able to have that answer proven conclusively. You may think A is the right answer to question B, but you may not be able to explain why. Thats because you lack the ability to prove why it is, because the knowledge of why A is right is beyond you.
"Does God exist?" can be answered..yes, or no. But it can't be proven because we lack the ability to verify that answer. Does this help?

Whether a question has an answer, and whether a person, can PROVIDE that answer, are two different things. If a question truly doesn't have an answer, it's because it's a bad question. (Example: "What high school did God go to?"). But if a question has no *easy* or *obvious* answer, that's often because it's a very good question indeed.

A question that has no answer is the one that is not asked in the first place no question no answer.
Every human inquiry has an answer always.
It's a matter of searching the right places.

A rhetorical question can be answered but not aloud just to yourself..such as "Is Jessica Pregnant?" this can be answered but it would be a rhetorical q's if it was on a cover of a magazine... I don't your q's...but there are question that can't be answered...such as the missing link...that triangle thingy...

There can be no such thing as a question without an answer!
Think about it. What colour is white? Answer "black". Completely wrong but it is an answer so all questions have answers.
