Kay, well, I'm thinking of getting my ears pierced and I'm really phsyced about it. I just keep wondering if it'll hurt. I'm getting my ear lobes done (the fat, bottom part) and it's gonna be my first piercing. So, if you had your ear lobes pierced and you remember it, please tell me if it hurt or not. My friend said it hurts less than a shot, is that true?

Also, I'm getting them done at Claire's or Icing, so is that a good idea? Does it hurt more with the gun or needle or whatever?

Claire's and the Icing are both relatively safe places to have your ears pierced. I would recommend the gun as opposed to a needle. It's very quick and painless. I really don't remember feeling pain.

Oh my goodness! I read "eyes" not ears! Well...they're piercing everything else these days! LOL.
It hurts, but it's not too bad. My daughters had theirs done about 2 years ago. My oldest was 9 and said that it wasn't as bad as she expected. She said that if it was too painful, she would refuse to let the other side be done. She did fine. Not even any tears. My 7 year old was even more of a trooper. She winced a little, but kept a smile the whole time. Just stay away from the cartilage area. Lobes aren't too bad. But of course, it will hurt a little to put a hole in your body. Just not as much as you might think.

ok please listen to me
DO NOT GET YOU EARS PIERCED AT CLAIRES

they use a tool called a gun
they normaly dont clean it well
you can get a nasty infection from guns
the best way to go is get it done by a pro at a piercing shop
it will hurt less and they have to use a new needle everytime
its the health code
would you rather have a nasty infection have to go to the doctor
and and have a shot in your infection and there is NO like numbing agent and probably never be able to have a piercing again
or have a awesome piercing and be able to wear your earings
all the time

trust me on this i have a few piercing and all done by pros and they are fine and infection free
plus i want to be a piercer and i have many friends that are piercers
so yea go to a pro please im looking out for you

The needle is better. Besides, professional body piercing places are USUALLY more sanitary than those crappy booths in the mall.
As for the pain: Yeah, it hurts a little...I mean, they put a piece of steel through your ear. But it's not THAT bad; you'll be fine.

No your earlobes won' hurt, but if you get the top of your ear pierced then it just stings a little. You should get it done at Claire's. There the best at doing ear piercing.

I'm not very good at handling pain, but I had my ears pierced at age 9 so it can't be that bad. I remember it being a bit uncomfortable and I was very concious of my ears for a day or two, but I'm sure you'd handle it. Plus it opens up a whole other avenue of gift ideas for you

well i thot it kinda hurt but i am/was deathly afraid of needles but that has nothing to do with it..so claires thats where i got mine done...well dont freak about it cuz it doesnt hurt that much but you mite feel a lil pinch for a sec but hope there are two people there cuz when i got mine done there was only one chick there that day so she did them one at a time and if you have to peeps then its over like that and it doesnt hurt as much so to answer your question yes it hurts but only for a second just make sure you put the antiseptic stuff on there so they dont get infected and turn the earring as often as you can so it doesnt stick [[idk but thats wat they said]] well good luck = ] plus i think earrings are the CUTEST accessory so have fun!

Yeah, it hurts. It's uncomfortable for a while, too. But I'm sure you'll be able to deal with it. Lots others have.
