The Mercury Mainboard P4M266a chipset not getting power on.?

Mercury main board P4M266a chipset when switched on not starting. I have checked the atx power supply it is good when connected the mother board its not on. How to check the motherboard to resolve the power supply to motherboard. pl. help.......

try to disconect everything conected to the power supply then leave the maiboard conected and see if the power turns on if it does then one of your devices might be bad it happened to me with my floppy drive.
