tell him the truth if he is your best friend he should understand. But also here is something to thnk about, maybe try giving him a chance. maybe you say you dont feel that way because you have never thopught of him in that way. try it , who knows maybe there is something there? just a thought good luck

just stop talking to him then he will get the hint if you guys talk everyday ....then dont give a week or so then let him call you and when he does jst tell him u feel akward cause he asked you out tell him how you feel but whatever you do dont go out w/ him or start a romantic realationship w/ him I made that mistake and my best friend is no longer in my life

this happened 2 me. and im a guy. you should let him know that your guys's friendship means a lot to you and that your not ready to take the next step with him because you havent developed that connection with him. tell him that if there IS a chance (so hes not completely blown off) it might take time. if hes REALLY your best friend, he'll understand

be honest. i have been on the receiving end of this. but dont give them false hope. it makes things more awkward and tougher to move on. think about it seriously, try not to bounce. if something happens later then great but having the expectation when you arent sure isnt fair on either of you.
