Sounds like you have plans for your out of town trip.
Putting aside the fact that you are too young and too immature to have sex, it is certainly best to use birth control if you are going to have it anyway.
Laws vary from state to state. Contact the nearest Planned Parenthood. They are well aware of the laws in your state. If it is legal, they can also give you birth control.
Since neither the shot nor the pill can prevent AIDS and STDs, please do yourself a favor and use condoms.

If you go to your local Public Health or Planned Parenthood, they can give it to you for free (Sometimes), and you do not need parental guidance or approval. They will give you a big long form to fill out, and you can check a box that says you do not want ANYONE to be informed with your business there (This means friends, family, spouses, etc can't find out what you were there for and when).

Anywhere in the US birth control can be provided to all women 15+ in confidence. You can go to Planned Parenthood, Family Doctor or county health dept. all must keep everything confidential.
