Lebron has the triple threat... He can drive on you, he can pass, and he can shoot from the outside.
Shaq has total dominance in the paint... He can block or alter plenty of shots every game, he can dominate in rebounding, he can score under the goal, and he is a decent passer.
both of these players are dominating at their positions. Especially shaq.
Overall, if you look at all the variables here, Lebron is more valuable for your team. He has more skills than shaq and is more productive than shaq these days. Put better players around Lebron and he should win a championship. Shaq had D.Wade and a very strong bench to help him with with the Heat this year.
Hope this makes sense.

LeBron is better than Shaq - but you would take shaq first because more people are able to do similar things to LeBron than there are people to do the same things as shaq

Right now it's James because Shaq is near the end of his career.
We will have to wait a few more years to know who was really the better player.
Shaq has been a winner and the best big man over the last several years so James will have to have a great career to top Shaq IMO.

They are both COMPLETELY different players. You cant succeed with a shaq type of player on ur team, yet u can survive without Lebron. But lebron brings more of a show to the game. And btw SHAQ has won more than lebron 'baby_girl;.

You can't really compare the two considering they play different positions and have different roles. Shaq is a veteran in the NBA and LeBron is just starting out. LeBron hasn't had a chance to truly mature as a player

Right now Shaq would be ranked 4, 5 or 6 all-time greats at the center position. Lebron has to play at least 10 or 15 more yrs to be rated at his position. Longevity is one of the hall marks of greatness.

LeBron James. Shaq can't do anything except overpower people with his 300+lb body. Lebron can do it all.

Lebron man. Shaq can't shoot. He just got size which helps him get down low for the dunks and lay ups.
