It is carpal tunnel and not carpol tunnel. Firstly you goto desensitise your nerves by applying anaesthetics then you gotta treat it by reducing the inflammation. Go to your doctor quick before it gets worse! Hey..................wait a sec.................if you really have it then how were you able to type? I know it myself that it hurts like hell when you try to move your wrist joint. OK, whateva it may be just follow my advice. All the best!!!!

go see a orthopedic hand specialist or if it isn't severe enough to see a doctor then get some wrist braces. They sell them at drug stores and sporting goods stores. Try not to flex your wrist too much this will cause the tendonitis to flare up. Instead you want to put them at extension ( flexing your wrists backwards). You can take advil or tylenol for pain and the flare ups

Braces to sleep in helped me for almost a year, then I finally had to have the surgery.
Extreme temperatures seemd to bring on the pain more than anything for me... but one thing I know that helped me reduce it (I know this may not make sense, but I swear it worked for me) was to take my thumb and forefinger and pinch the underside and the back of my wrists to create pressure around the joint... It eased things up quite a bit.

try avoid typing for a little time if possible. There are many modalities of treatment available for carpal tunnel syndrome. you can try splinting it at night time. Then there is always decompression surgery....

Stop typing and rest your hands for a while. You should get some ergonomic keyboards and avoid pressing down on your wrists.

CP has been associated with thyroid disease. get blood tests done to rule that out first. try the salonpas sticky pain patches they work well, even on pain in major acupressure points that are out of balance...

my mom has it too. go to your pharmacy and get arm braces to wear at night. they are a little uncomfortable, but you get used to it and it helps the pain.my mom is a hair stylist so it really hard on her wrist. she usually also goes to get them massaged.
