maybe you should check with the doctor first?
instead of running for a marathon, why don't you just take a stroll around your neighborhood everyday fo 30 minutes, then maybe you can decide whether you have what it takes to run a marathon

talk to your doctor, before you do anything. then consider walking a half mile at a time increasing in quarter mile increments. you must have your medication monitored. many athletic facilities have medical staff that can help you maximize your physical potential. remember your heart has the last word. make sure you listen to your brain and not your ego.you must consult a nutritionist. this is a very serious undertaking. when you do it you must do it right or you could die needlessly, period.
