I was waiting to check in on a Continental flight. The man in front of me was huge, way over 400 pounds, the check in clerk made him buy an extra seat, she said - in the post tasteful way possible that it would be an inconvenience for anyone sat next to him. Reluctantly he agreed, paid over £300 additional fare.
When I got on the plane he was already there, the extra seat was the other side of the isle - he was so pissed off!

picture taken during WW II shows all around st Paul's burning and then the magnificent dome showing above the rubble. The British people worked hard to save ST Paul's and Prince Charles and Princess Diana got married there in 1981.

I got pinned against the fuselage by this fat North American woman on a eight hour flight. When the food came round I had to enquire as to the whereabouts of the table, it was in the arm-rest which was under a great flabby roll of this woman's fat. Hopefully the process of having the steward have to pull her out of her seat everytime I needed to take out and put away the table embarrassed her enough to do something about her weight. So, in answer to your question, yes, she should definitely paid for two seats.

Overweight people get charged for two seats. As for why they charge more is dew to the amount of fuel the plane needs for it's journey

In the Defense of overweight people..
Com on man..the price of ticket is for one person...
They should mention it on tickets and on advertisements also..
If they are penalising fat people, they should be willing to give discount to skinny people..are they?lol
And the guys who ask teacher more questions shold be asked to pay more fees?
People who drive more should pay extra tax (they use roads more)?
People who order more and waste so much food, should they be taxed on the food wasted?
Should resturants have mini Option on all the orders so the food would not be wasted, and those who don't should be taxed?
I by no means am trying to say that being fat is something good or should be encouraged, but com on man, everyone is different, its not good to make fun of them..
I was fat once..it feels terrible when everyone is making your weight the focus of attension..
Same people come running to you when you lose weight, though you are the same person, although i agree losing weight makes your life better in many ways..but no one has a right to make fun of other people..

Sometimes they do. I have heard of overweight individuals being charged to two seats. The airlaines are treading on thin ice, however, because this is discrimination.
