On job applications, they ALWAYS ask for the reason of leaving your previous position(s). The reason varies extensively, but how do you answer this kind of question on the job applications, when you don't have good reason. As you know you can't just say you didn't like it.

Sometimes you just have to make something up. For instance if you're applying for a part time job, say that your last job required you to work too many hours. If you're applying for a full time job say that your last job didn't give you enough hours. If you've just moved say that you were relocating. Try to never say anything bad about your last job.

Depends. Need more money? "Budget constraints" Boss was a jerk? "Irreconcilable differences" Stuck in a dead end job? "Limited opportunity for advancement". Make a list of all the "real" reasons you left your previous jobs and then look for alternative ways of saying them to sound better. Keep this list on you when you go to fill out applications or make them part of your resume.

You can tell them honestly but not in a negative way, i.e. that you have left for the better, or hope for something better...
