I have never had a girlfriend and I need help on getting one. I am not really the type of person to just go up to a girl and just flirt. I am horrible with words. Am I supposed to make the first move because I dress like a guy or what. Where can I meet other girls (not at a club, my mom would kill me if she found out)? Im 18 and looking?

maybe you should start looking in your circle of friends, i find it hard to believe that you do NOT know a single lesbian in your 18 years of life! the trick is to start with people you know 1st cuz you are so shy. you tend to be much more relaxed when its someone whom you already know. just hang out with them and when you think you are attracted to that person, just tell them your feelings (please make sure that person is gay and single before trying this, otherwise it'll backfire in your face)
i know this sounds like asking you to risk all, but who says love was an easy game to play?
if it doesn't work out, laugh at it and move on. you needn't harp and kick yourself in the ar$e just because you were rejected once! there are plenty of beautiful wild flowers out there, just waiting for you to discover them! ;) you need to take risks, you will find in time that you will be rewarded if you do (just like i did, and it was 4 years ago, and she is still my partner) so please be brave and hopeful!

good luck sweetie, i hope this was helpful.

Well, first thing that I will say is this--stay away from older, grown women. Find a girl your age.

Now, how to do that? First, I will tell you that there are some little secrets about gay girls.....although we do not like stereotypes, there is a little bit of truth to some of them. So, do you like or play basketball? You may find some nice gay girls on the basketball team, at a college women's game, at a WNBA game, etc. What about softball? Join a women's softball team for your age range and you may meet some girls there.

Now, I really think that you should check out the HRC. Look them up. They are likely to have resources about things in your area.

Local college gay and lesbian student groups. Go to the college websites and look around. Go on campus and get a copy of the student newspaper and see if there are any activities. Go to the Women's Studies activities. Better yet, take a Women's Studies class. Bound to be lots of gay girls in there. There are often night classes that you may be able to convince your parents to let you take....you know, get exposure to college.

Good luck. The main thing to remember is that being gay is not a disease. Relax and be comfortable with you. I applaud your knowing who you are at such a young age. Be strong and find others like you. Whether they become girlfriends or just friends, you will need them. Love yourself and others will love you.

I would suggest seeing if there are any gay and lesbian youth groups in your area. You can also search for lesbian girls your age somewhere such as myspace. I know you say that you are not good with words and don't want to make the first move, but if you are actively seeking a g/f that involves a little footwork so to speak. They most likely won't be flocking to you if you aren't outgoing as it is. You could always just be patient and stop looking,..that is supposedly when you find someone special. Good luck=)

I am bisexual and have a girlfriend but us meeting was coincidental. You can go on lesbian and gay chat rooms or just meet new people and you'll be able to feel the right vibe between the two of you. I hope the best for you. YOU have to have hope though too or it will be hard to find a girlfriend.

I think the best thing for you today is to stop dressing like a MAN and start enjoying being a woman. I bet its fun, lol
On a more serious note, you should consider reading the bible more. Christ will always be with you.
Word.

Um I have no idea. I am not gay. I would think that you would have to know if the girl was gay that you were interested in and then just get to know her. That is how it works with me and guys. You have to get to know the person b/f making that decision to date and all.

maybe you should dress like a girl, be a girl, and be with a girl. dont try to be something you're not (a guy) but be who you are ( a bi-curious girl0 or lesbian-curious. be you and not what you think others want you to be.
