Me and my g/f are going to punta cana in 2 weeks. Today we were at the beach in new jersey and every 2 feet ON THE SAND where it met the ocean was another stinkin jelly fish..seriously they were just everywhere...it got me so freaked out i wouldnt even look at my friends...i stared right at the sand in fear of stepping on one.

So it got me thinking....I know there's jelly fish in Punta Cana waters but are they bad on the sandy beach?

I know i probably sound like an idiot but these are such things i worry about however not deprecieating the fact that i will be in paradise for 7 nights :)

Thanks..im a virgin at this yahoo question/answer thing.

I would not worry too much about the jellyfish in Punta Cana. I have seen some, but they are not nearly as many as you have described in your question.

If memory serves me well, I've only seen them on the beaches on sporadic occasions (ie, not year round).
