For the past few nights, I've dreamt some horrible things have happened to my family - my brothers were attacked by wild animals, my cousin jumped from a tall building, my mum and dad separated, my sister got divorced.
What does it mean? How can I stop having these nightmares?

Sometimes your dreams have nothing to do with the specific people in it. Since everything you mentioned is something negative, it could be you have changes in your life that you are dealing with that you are uneasy about. If that is the case, as you deal with the changes your dreams about these things will subside. I'm no expert on dreams, but I have read a lot about them.

Let me analyze the dream

You have dreams of insecurity and sense of escape from responsibilities.

Brothers were attacked = fear of confrontation of problems
Cousins Jump off tall building = escape from responsibilities
Mom and Dad separated = lack of insecurity
Sister got divorced = and fear of commitment

Basically, you have big issues about security and fear. You projected all those bad things happened to you because subconsciously you can't take it, and so you vent it out in dreams.

In order to fix it, you should open up more and talk about your fear to people. Make them aware of your problem first, the next step is to deal with it. I have a feeling that you are not a social active type. Maybe you should start making friends you can trust and talk about your thoughts and problems.

You feel insecure. You are facing many probems and you donot have the will power to face them. The solution is to discuss the problems with your friends and find solution. If there is no problem just pray to God or read The Bible before you go to bed.

If you think about something good before you go to sleep you may dream better, but if it don't work just don't believe in the dreams because it will only bring you down.

I think it means you are a creative dreamer who is worrying about your family. Stop worrying and as you go to sleep, visualize a cool Forrest path or a park setting, or a nice walk on the beach. Go to sleep thinking of those things.

Don't eat stimulating food before you go to bed.

;-D Enjoy your sleep!

It sounds like you are subconciously worried about your family members. Maybe you could stop the nightmares by thinking calm thoughts before you fall asleep and reassuring yourself they are safe.
