I have been chatting with a guy from india for about 2 months, i made the mistake of giving my phone number, and now hes phoning me, alot. Im not a racist person, but i really cant stand his voice it makes me laugh, he sounds like apu from the simpsons, I dont want to hurt his feelings, and i dont want to talk to him on the phone. Does anyone know what I should do? remember i still want him as a friend. okay

no offense to people from india, but the indian accent is really funny. maybe its god's way to even things out because he made india so interesting and one of the greatest cultural heritage on earth.
if you still want to be friends with this guy, maybe you should try to divert your mind from his accent by focusing on what he is saying instead of how he is saying it. or think of sad things, like famine, plague, natural disasters, selective abortion of baby girls in india (by the result of usg of pregnant mothers). you know, things that would kill laughter in any humans with the slightest sensibility.
or maybe say that you want to take it slow and prefer to communicate through email.

Well Angel sounds to me like you want to have your cake and eat it to. Listen to yourself. You don't want to talk to him on the phone but you still want him as a friend. Man, if that's the kind of friend you are, then I would sure hate to be your enemy. Grow up. You say you made a mistake by giving him your phone number just because he doesn't have a sexy voice or a voice to your liking. That is not only petty but that's immature. So to answer your last question which is "Does anyone know what I should do?" Yes. Grow up.

hey,i guess you are confused.......you dont want to talk to him over the phone but at the same time you dont want him to know so cos he'll be hurt....but trust me thats the only way you have,to tell him straight and if hes a true friend he'll respect the same.
in any relationship,its always better to voice out your true feelings and true relationshios always last,the more straight and truth full you are the better for you and a healthy friendship!!
dont sound very rude but just tell him how yo feel about it and that you dont like talking much over the phone.....thats it!!

well...you could always tell him that you don't feel comfortable on the phone when you don't know him in person, and that you think that you should just be friends online....
or if you live at home you could say that your parents don't like it that your talking to some guy from india you haven't met in person and you wanna remain friends and talk online.....
or (just an idea) you could make something up, (example: you like this other guy and you feel weird about talking to him on the phone when your interested in someone else...etc.)

wellllll if u r good friends than u should try to make him understand that u dont want him to call (another flirt way is that u can just pick his phone and change ur voice and say that this is not ur house and u can mail himm that u hav got rid of th phone due to som probs.)hope this helps?

i agree tell him that your phone got shut off and tell him you can only talk to him online cuse you aint got a phone make sure your new number is a nonpub and dont give him the new number

tell him that last month your phon bill was like $100 over so you cant talk long distance on the phone anymore... tell him the only way you can talk is on the computer.

tell him your mom is getting kinda mad of him calling all the time and she mite ground you from the phone if he keeps it up but you still wana talk online a little wight lie couldnt hert that badly as long as he thanks you dont have a choose
