Because Switzerland knows better than to mingle in the middle east, they are the only first world country who has NEVER been in a war, and your right, they are a true democracy....
Its not just about freedom either, but also about us supporting Israel. I have spoken with many middle easterners and this is what they tell me.

It is not the good of US we hate... in fact your domestic policy is not all that bad. It is your neo-colonial policies abroad that are hated and not just in the midle-east but every where you have meddled. Be it Latin America, far east, african countries, Afghanistan or elsewhere in sublter ways... It is the way you betray your allies after using them. Make them martyers when they serve your interest and terrorist suiciders when they turn against you. There is no prinicpled consistency in your policy. I am not saying that you have never intervened for a good cause... but your aggression and violation far exceedes your good and largely there has been no principle for meddling but to increase your influence at what ever cost.
I think what Americans need to learn is that all people have self respect and intelligence of their own and these need to be respected if you want to have a healthy existence in the world. You can't fool around and expect to be respected. You need to earn it through your deeds. For now it is this juvinile gizmo show and killing you have demonstrated not an ability to live in harmony.
I remember British Colonies a centrury before had greater respect and understanding for the people of their colonies than you in this centrury of freedom and democracy do. This is the reason that people don't hate British despite practically colonizing most of the old world. Even in their aggression there was some humanity. And mind you times have changed.

The Middle East does not hate the US for its freedom. It hates the US because the US is always butting into their business, supporting Isreal (which they hate), and occupying Middle Eastern countries (like Iraq). They don't hate Sweden or the Swiss because they don't do any of that stuff- they mind their own business.

That's because the US is ultimate symbol for freedom (apparently).
I always wondered whether the Islamic extremists hate Latin America as well, because the women in Brazil wear close to nothing, and isn't showing your leg or arm a sin in Islam.

The US usually acts the policeman of the world and is aggressive like invading Iraq unlike Sweden and Switzerland who does not intervene in world affairs and respects the co-existence of other states.

My goodness it is not the freedom or liberty enjoyed by citizens of the US that is hated by middle easterners. It is U.S. hegemony that is in question here, the political clout and influence trying to be imposed by the US government on other countries that is basically opposed by arabs.

They don't hate us because of our freedom. They dont care about that, it all started back around ww2 with Lawerence of Arabia, he was a spy/geologist for the allied powers and Arabia was ruled by the Ottaman empire, he made a deal with the arabs to be on our side against the axis powers and we double crossed them on the deal and the powers that be have meddled in their affairs ever since because we need the oil, study your history its all in black and white

actually they hate USA not because of its freedom,they hate them because of their interference in their matters.
It's the US young generation who advocates the right to freedom and it's them who r exploiting the world . what hippocrates they are.sweden or swiss are not hated because they r sincere and donn't do **** like USA or UK or Austalia

Because it's the United States (more specifically, the US government) that pushes its views on other countries. Other countries do not do such things (at least as bad as the US does).
