You need to go to USPS.com and choose 4 digit zipcode lookup. San Diego is too big to have 1 zip code. You can type in an address at the postal web site.

Carol gave you the right answer. You put in your address and they will give you the zip code + 4 for that address. The first five numbers will almost always be enough to get your mail to the right place but it makes it easier on the post office if you add the other four numbers.
