I explicitly told my friends not to tell the waitress at Bennigan's it was my birthday...those party parades are awful! I almost got away until another of my friends just had to comment. She really wanted a party parade for me...I didn't...not even for the free dessert.
Will those damn things ever go away? Just give me my cake and shut the hell up!

Omg! Yes! I have never had it done to me personally thank god, but if I did I would crawl under the table and hide. And can you imagine the embarrassment the parade givers feel having to act that way! I agree with you just give me the cake and shut up!!

If you don't like those parades (I don't either), go to a bar or a real restaurant instead of Bennigan's/Friday's/any other place where the employees have more than a name tag pinned on their shirt.

i hate them too, thank gosh my friends no better than to do that for me. although, i have a new fun place to take my friends to called the steps of rome in little italy in san fran.
all of the waiters and waitresses are hot italians - so its good for guys and girls. they dance with you, make you eat cake off of them or you and everyone in the restraunt gets involved its just fun and not embarasing. its like a really rowdy fun bar, but is a restaunt with hot people.

Easy solution is to not eat at a chain restaurant on your next birthday.

I hate them, too! They're really disruptive for others around you, too...People who are trying to talk. If you want a big hoopla...go to Chuck E Cheese!

I think they are awesome! It's your birthday and you are supposed to enjoy it! I don't understand people like you who are always so negative blah blah! You are lucky to have a friend who will do that for you!!! Lighten up!!
