That's why they have these archives called libraries and little packets of knowlegde called books. I'm sure they are still teaching literacy in schools so it would be best to scoot down to the library and research your own damn homework.

Prior to WWI, the American Government was based on isolationism; that is, we kept out of what was going on in the rest of the world. The trench warfare raged on in Belgium and the casualties mounted for the French. Suddenly and to everyones surprise, Germany rolled into Paris and posed a very serious threat to UK. The American people closely identify with the UK because we speak the same language and have the same general religious and cultural beliefs. This, coupled with the medias overstating of German atrocities led to our desire to enter the war. Things that changed: Blacks moved North in what was called "The Great Migration" in order to work in the war machine factories. Women took on a more "manly" role in industry which led to the rebellions of the 1920's. After WWI was over, and we bailed out the now slanderous European countries, ALL of Europe was a wreck. The treaty of Versailles said that Germany would have to pay France and Britain back some money. Germany didn't have the money so we implemented the goofy Dawes Plan. We loaned Germany 2.5bil and they paid back France and the UK who owed the US money so we ended up making out in the deal. After the war, the United States shifted its war production to MASS CONSUMER production. Everyone had a ton of money and the United States was now the only super power in the world because UK France Germany Russia were in shambles and Austria Hungary ceased to exist after the war and was split into a bunch of little countries. Oh I forgot something, we became a Weapons dealer to the Allies before we entered the war. Britain was blockading German transports so they never had a chance to said here and buy weapons. Besides our Imperialistic stretch under Teddy Roosevelt, this was one of the first times that we got so tangled up in Global events. Here are some Key words that you should check out for your essay: Imperialism, Isolationism, Wilsons 14 points, the roaring 20's, the Dawes Plan, Propaganda, the Treaty of Versailles.

Sorry if there are mistakes in grammar because I don't feel like proofreading this stuff. Godd Luck.

Such a vast subject, but in my mind America took over the role of becoming the world's arms merchant away from Germany. The main benefit of WWI is the final results finally severed the ties between the Church and the royalties.
