It is theorised and proposed that their is somewhere in the Universe another life-harbouring planet.
Studies have been made on Earth-like planets, and many have been discovered. As yet, there is no evidence that life exists on these planets though.
Some interesting sites to look at:

You've been watching Star Wars and not sleeping enough haven't you. MIGHT there be life elsewhere in the universe,,, sure. IS there any evidence that there is,,sorry, no. Even if there was some sort of life, intelligent or otherwise, out there what would make you think that it would be "human"? Either you must think that evaluation runs on a exceedingly predictable track or that God had a site "B".

Someone once said " If the Earth was the only planet with intelligent life on it in the universe what a wast of space that would be." I can only hope that it is human or more realistic humanoid in appearance. Hopefully friendly too. :o)

Human.......NO
Intelligent....YES
To most scientists way of thinking and because of the enormity of the universe containing, to quote the great Carl Sagan: "billions and billions" of stars, it is without doubt that an intelligence exists somewhere on a distant planet, revolving around a distant star, somewhere out there, within a distant galaxy.
The fact that there is no evidence to support this is irrelevant since we simply have not heard from or located where that intelligence exists.......YET!

Actually there could be millions of other planets with different types of life forms. We cannot exactly say whether they would look like us. All depends on how they evolved during the early stages and which type of creatures have become the predominant group.

There is a poplular new theory that there are also other universes beyond our own. And that the arrangement of particles in the other universes can only be duplicated so many times before they repeat themselves. So mathematicaly there would be a duplicate of yourself reading this 10 to the 10 (28) meters from you.

There has been ABSOLUTELY no evidence that there is life on any other planet. Additionally there have been about 20 other planets found outside our solar system. None of them have been found to have conditions similar to ours.

It is hard to believe that we are they only exsisting life forms in the vast universe. Maybe not human, but some kind of life.

I'm sure there is. But you wont find one with intelligent life (of course with the exception of us) in our solar system.
Mathew 7:3- And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
This scripture infers as to why we find ourselves alone in the solar system. The reason seems to be that God has purposefully separated the intelligent species. Probably putting only one in each solar system. The reason for separating us is becuase God does not want us to focus on each other; becuase we have enough probablems of our own to worry about. Wee dont need to go give the aliens more problems, worries and concerns; and neither them give us more problems, worries and concerns.

A theory at best... but some say that it would be both ignorant and arrogant to think that we are the only inhabited planet.
