A new world we cannot have, we're stuck with this one. As for new world-views, it is always time for those. Every new truth is built on the shambles of truths that went before, wisdom is an unending capacity for letting the old truths go, and you can't achieve new truths with exploring new ideas, even they lead no-where, the journey itself is worthwhile.

After 9/11, 7/11, 11/7 in Bombay and recent Middle East unrest do we still have any doubts, that we need to live different than we are presently we wish to the world around to be any different?
Creating more anger, hatred and unrest each day through our words, actions and intents is only going to perpetuate the anger and hatred we all are already reeling under.
The question is whether we are willing to get a new sense of being and a new consciousness ourselves for the world to have it, or do we just like to talk about such things in forums like these that don’t hold us responsible for any amount of 7 or 9/11s.
Change requires personal work and a commitment to be the change you wish to see in the world.

As far as consciousness goes, why should this time be different than any other? Because it's a certain date on a calendar invented by Romans?
More likely than not, our consciousness will change - if at all - at the same rate it always has: very, very slowly.

It is time for change, beyond all doubt. It is time for humanity to be humane, to learn to respect one another enough to evolve to a mentality that is based on spiritual strength, honor for the lessons of history and respect for our Mother Earth. In allowing the greedy among us to rise to levels of regard as they spit on our planet and heap contempt upon the gift of life, we have too long permitted such exploitation to run amuck and create false characterizations of intent. It is time for us to focus instead on the great values of respect--for one another, for future generations and for the natural gifts that are ours to protect. It is time to cherish more simple ways and thus praise such beauty as is ours to cherish. We have to stop destroying one another, stand up for the rights of Earth's creatures to exist and understand, once and for all, that it is more sacred to appreciate our role within holistic existence rather than continue to steal the beauty of this planet from our descendants.

It is!But is it that easy?just wanting something and getting it?I think we should just start by praying to God to bring peace to this world and it's creatures weather it be critters or humans.
