I know that this is for guys, but I can tell you that my ex husband cried, begged, screamed at me, etc when I broke it off with him and left. It did nothing but push me even further away. If guys would realize this fact, then maybe they would grow up and take it like men. Talking calmly will work a lot better and get you a lot further.
Just an opinion from a women's point of view.

Absolutely not...do not stoop to her level and play those kindergarden games. Move on...she is not the only one in the world. There is another out there that will treat you the way you deserve to be treated...I promise
