I know that this is for guys, but I can tell you that my ex husband cried, begged, screamed at me, etc when I broke it off with him and left. It did nothing but push me even further away. If guys would realize this fact, then maybe they would grow up and take it like men. Talking calmly will work a lot better and get you a lot further.
Just an opinion from a women's point of view.
