If having a girlfriend is really important to you, you might be coming across as a bit desperate. Desperation is never attractive.
Worry less about getting a girlfriend, make the girls you meet laugh and feel good about themselves and you'll have one in no time.

maybe til now you really didnt want one? girlfriend can be a lot of work you know.. you gotta buy them things and take them places and they often make some demands on you that take time and money. and sometimes they give you children when yu weren't quite ready yet. but youll find all this out when you get your girlfriend. after all those other things then yes, a girl friend is nice to have (but sometimes its pain)
