Seems to me the "jobs" we create for underdeveloped countries involve horrible conditions and slave wages. They need to learn to stand for themselves on the free market and create something people want. Of course, we should help them get water and food, so they might be able to concentrate on something like that...

Absolutely. However, we should be thoroughly aware of how the governments of those countries, by default, limit the prosperity and liberty of its people. No sense giving peasants sweat-shop jobs for pennies, if they're just going to have to sacrifice the fruits of their labor to a dictator anyway.

i think the us should be creating jobs for american people so we do not have to go killing people for their oil
