Depends on your level of pain tolerency. I say no, but I also say earpiercings dont hurt and some say they do. Mouth/cheek peircings heal faster so the pain will go away soon.

They do like the tougue or the belly rings. The insistence on mounting these rings on girls is a remnant of our tribal past when when were required to undergo fiercer operations to keep the attention of their men fixed on them. In a tribe in Africa the lower lip is pierces inchildhood. By the time the child becomes an adult the lower lips hangs on the chest rendering the appearance of the object monstrous. And yet it is a time honoured practice there. In India ear piercing and nose piercing is done in childhood so that when grown up the womancan wear ear-rings and nose-rings. Thenose rings creates quite a problem in eating food and yet it may not be removed since it is also considered as a sacred sign of the married status of the women.Sometimes in order to underline the affluency of the wearer(ie.e of her husband) the rings are made so heavy that thenose or the ears is torn disfiguring the appearance.Just a small semblance of a gold wire in the nose ,sometimes studded with a diamond) does add a distinctive attraction to the face but not overdoing it.Feminist women refuse such body-piercing as signs of savagery when ropes were passed through the hole in the nose and women paraded like beasts who also undergo this operation for the same puirpose of controlling them.
