Why is it that when ever a person on answers asks a question we all assume that the person or persons in the question are us or our significant others? Arent we allowed to ask questions in general. I mean is it safe to assume that we really just might want to know what if. I mean like if I were to ask the question......What would you do if you caught your husband in bed with the babysitter and they were both fully dressed looking at a movie. While the kids were in the other room, but he was supposed to take her home when he got home from the office. And when they saw you his reply was honey you are home early. What would you do?............Most people would reply directly to me and not just answer the question. Could it be human nature? I JUST WANTED TO KNOW.

I think when people answer questions that seem personal they automatically picture the whole scene in their head putting themselves in the questioners postion. Then they feel the need to direct it back to the questioner because of a sympathetic nature most times.

In that case most people make it clear that they are just wondering and that it did not happen to them. It's pretty simple to make that clear really. Most of the questions here are posted because its something someone is going through so that is the assumption.

Well...I suppose they do assume that it happened. Why would you make up questions like that anyway? Let folks know it's just hypothetical and that will help.

It is human nature. Because people think why would that person create such a scenrio (sp?) if it was actually happening to her.

we assume the person asking the question is about them or they would say different , if they leave us to our imagination then ya its definitely about them and we answer like wede answer someone we know .
