It depends solely on the attitude of the guy : If he exudes a confident and casual attitude, it will sure seem 'cool'.
But if he self-consciously keeps watching the others' reactions all the time, it will definitely appear stupid !

my hubby has 18 ear piercings but he only wears 5 earrings and all in one ear. he looks very cool. after seeing him with them for so long, i don't think he would look right without them. i'm sure i would get used to it eventually, sort of like when someone usually wears glasses and then switches to contacts or a man shaves his beard after having it a long time or a girl with long hair chops it all off. he has a very good job and none of his employers have ever complained or asked him to remove his earrings.

Honestly, I am wary of guys who have earrings. The guys that I know that wear earrings are players....I'm sure that there are nice guys out there with earrings, but I haven't met any.

honestly it depends on the guy, a small earring is usually fine with me.
