We have worked together for a couple weeks and don't see much of each other at work. We only just started talking recently.

She likes you, but doesn't want to make it seem obvious....such as calling it going out with a friend or something she wants it to be more but she doesn't want to have to put herself forward to make you hers......maybe thats happened to her once and she got hurt by it........but if she asks you to a movie she probably likes you, or she wants to be with you, and even if its just as friends, you know she loves you by this.

I agree if it were me id expect to see a movie we both enjoy. Then after the movie depends on how we got along and all.

if it were ME ... and I asked a guy to go to a movie, it would mean just that. dutch and nothing more but friendly chat.
course you didn't say if you just met or have been friends for sometime ....
