Me and my best friends all picked the same ellectives . We picked Dance and P.E . Were all girls so heres where it gets to the problem .Were all still virgins and our parents dont want us to use tampons !! We all dont want to use pads while were having P.E and dance it would be a big pain .Do you sugjest that we secretly try tampons and if we think its ok that we should just get our own ? Were also a little scared and think this is kind of discusting ! What should we do ? Please help summers almost over ! So plaes help us out ! Thanks !!! Please help us out ! Talk again to your mom's alone...without your father there.This might give you a woman's talk without a man being there.Also,nothing is wrong with tampons,however,since you are a virgin and still have a hymen,then it MAY be a problem.Like I said,talk to your mother alone.NEVER do anything your parents say not to.They have a reason for saying it and usually know best.Check and see,(I know there are products out there aimed at teens)IF they make tampons...just for teens.IF they do,then explain that to your mom and maybe she will understand.We all are women,but our bodies are all different and what is good for you may not be what's good for a friend.Talk to your mom,please??!!!Good luck sweetie!!I just checked----go to kotex.com and that has some info that may help you.It has a teen section,under let's talk.It also has a q about gym and what to do and it says wear a tampon or pad that fits.PLEASE talk to your mom and get her to go to kotex.com with you.

Tampons DO NOT "de-virginize" you. Only a male's penis can do that for you! Your parents may not want you to use tampons for another reason...it is called TOXIC SHOCK SYNDROME (TSS)! It was a big problem in the 1980s/1990s. It is caused by a deadly bacteria when girls do not change their tampons on a regular basis (at least every 6 hours). It is also cause by using the wrong absorbency (you do not need SUPER or MEGA tampons! Just change it more frequently to be healthy!!!) It can be deadly, especially to young girls. I suggest you try tampons (makes life MUCH easier, especially for PE and sports!!!) but make sure to read the INSTRUCTIONS and change frequently! I was afraid to use them too when I first got my period, because my mom scared me about TSS, but it's the best thing that has happened to women.

I've only worn them once, to go swimming at a birthday party. I felt uncomfortable, in that wierd kinda way, but forgot about it as the party went on. You could sneek them if you think youll get away with it and are willing to try it, Ive survived P.E on pads through out 6th, 7th, and 8th, grade. It's not that bad, just change before and maybe after. I used to take dance lessons, but i quit at age ten, so I never had to deal with that. But its way easier to see a pad under a leotard and tights, then under gym clothes. (while watching the "bigger kids" dance when I was little, I happened to realize this) So I would suggest using them for dance at least unless you wear PE clothes for that class as well. hope I helped some!

Why are you not allowed to use tampons. Go get the Tampax Pearls, they have them depending on how heavily you're bleeding. I don't blame you. If you have a locker that you use daily, keep them there. Don't be scared either. You'll end up choosing tampons over pads!!

Y'all should get them secretly. They're discreet in both packaging and stuff, so it should'nt be a big deal to hide.
Tell your friends that if it hurts ALOT you just probably put it in wrong / not deep enough. I've wasted alot of tampons 'cause it'd be sticking out and hurting like hell..
ANYWAY let's not get into details. I reccomend those Tampax Pearl things? I think thats' the brand, I just know it was called "Pearl". It's easy to put in, small, and it like, curves to your insides or something O_O;

If you're worried about losing your virginity to a tampon it's not possible. A virgin is defined as a person who has not engaged in sexual intercourse. I would suggest buying whatever you choose and follow the directions in the box. Just please don't start with cardboard applicators, they HURT!!

I have to sneak wearing tampons...Its actually more comfortable if you wear them right and get used to them. Sometimes you will forget you have your period. Its doesnt make you lose your virginity...I don't think they're big enough...Well atleast I think...
