Pretty much anything by Kurt Vonnegut. He'll blow your mind (lol):
Cat's Cradle
Breakfast of Champions
Slaughterhouse Five
Galapagos
Actually, I don't know where I read this (probably in the jacket of a book), but it said that Cat's Cradle is the "quintessential college student novel". It's really good, anyway.

The Hitchhiker's Trilogy or The Giver. The Giver is a really easy book to read and it's VERY worth it! The Hitchhiker's, not so much, but still very much worth it. The end is GREAT!
