We've known each other since high school and were Best buds. We got married when we turned 30.

When you come home from work and a find a "Dear John" letter saying he feels "twisted up inside and doesn't know if he wants to be married any more" and you were totally blind sited by the whole thing because you and he were talking about buying a house two days before he left and you never knew there was a problem. When you find out that he lied to you all along. That he actually met someone on the Internet and left you to go move in with her and her two kids who are 4 states away, never mind that you are pregnant (8 weeks) and he sent word to you through the "grape-vine" that he doesn't want to have anything to do with the baby and doesn't want his name on the birth certificate KNOWING that it's his baby. THAT'S how you know it's time to divorce the *asshole.

I use to do lots of Little thing for my soon 2b ex like I would take her car to get washed and fill her gas tank up every week. She moved out 1yr and 3 months and moved back to her parents house who happen to live 5 min away. I noticed in the last 4 months I noticed I use to love doing this simple thing 4 her but now I find it more of a bother then joy. Why I"m ready to move on and loose my best friend for ever.

If you have to separate then you might as well get it over with. I believe if you can't stay together all of the time and be happy and take the good with the bad, and one walks away, then it's time to move on. Once I am gone I'm gone, why would you go back after a separation when nothing has changed? Time to get the "D" I would say. good luck to you!

if you have been seperated for more than a week it is time for a divorce, in a marriage there is no such thing as a seperation of more than a couple of hours, people who are in love wouldnt want ot be seperated for more than a couple of hours. i think it is time to hang it up and divorce, for future refrence, dont seperate your spouse for more than a couple of hours to cool off and come back and talk things thru. good luck.

When you can walk away without anger, without hatred, without a depth of sadness. If you can't do this, there are still unresolved issues that need to be dealt with.

when you've "earned" your way out...meaning when you've done everything YOU can to make the relationship work..and the other partner either ignores or has no interest in making it work...then you can say I did what was supposed to be done...and can walk away with a clear conscience..
