Everyone has regrets about something... either something they did, or something they didn't do. What do you regret more? A foolish mistake? or a missed opportunity? Tell why you feel the way you do, if you so desire.

I regret something I did. I feel the way I do about it because of course I knew it was wrong but yet I did it.

that's a really good question. for myself, i don't really regret anything. a foolish emotion since what good does it do to have it. can i change the past? no! can i undo a wrong? maybe! since there are only two certainties in life: right now & the past, regret is not a word i would associate with myself. however, if i was going to review my life, kind of like life's grocery list, i wouldn't dwell on the past-too long ago & too messy. i would write a list of things to do, and without placing any timeline on it, i would smartly do one thing at a time. if i liked what i did, i might do it again. i'd then proceed to the next item, and so on. then, at the end of this wonderful ride called life, i could close my eyes, feel i've done the best i could with the time i had and feel good! oh what the hell? i feel that way now! life's a roller coaster ride. the more dips , turns and loops, the better. nothing duller than a slide across the pond.

I think that i would have to choose both. I have had so many things happen to me in my life and i've had so many experiences where i did something i regretted AND i've regretted not doing something. One of the things i wish i would have done was to go to this out of state college that I wanted to go to but I had too many things here in my hometown that still needed to be worked out. But i always wonder if my life would have turned out differently if i had went to that school. Choices are so hard to make sometimes and that is something that we will have to live with forever because we are all human beings and we make mistakes. And i know alot of people say that you shouldn't live in the past and you should always look towards the future but it is so hard to do because that experience will always be etched in the back of your mind no matter how much you try to forget it. I think its just the way you handle your mistakes or learn from not doing the things you wanted to do that makes all the difference in the world.
Very good question ;)

For me it would have to be the "things I've done". When I was younger I did some really dumb things. I spent a lot of time and money on things that I have nothing to show for now. There are a few things I wish I would have done, but all in all I feel I have learned from everything. I try not to look at it as mistakes, more of a learning opportunity. Some lessons were harder to learn than others. Thanks for the question.

I try to never regret the things I have done, you can't change them but you can learn from them and in regards to regretting things I haven't done, you can't really regret something you haven't done only hope you don't pass up the next opportunity.

I regret things I've done more than things I haven't. I regret my mistakes more than missed opportunities.

This question would take Dr.Phil to the psycho-hospital.It would take me on the other hand a long, long, long time to answer. But anyway most definitely the things I have not done I regret the most.I would have married someone I really didn't think was all that attractive, instead of remaining single[still am].Thanks for asking, and you??

I try to learn from the things that I regret I've done in the past, and I try to take more chances the second time around. ;)
