Hi. I have a question, maybe some of you have had a similiar experience, and can give me some advice!.

I have noticed I have Blue Varicose Veins on my breasts and on the nipple area as well. I have heard this is one of the symtoms of pregnancy, but as I posted in an earlier question, I have had 2 normal, well the first one was normal, the second one was very close to normal periods.

My question is what could cause this? I never noticed them before, if they were they werent as dark. Other then pregnancy is there some other causes that could have caused this?

- Thanks so much for any help!

I am 19 years old. I just went to my gynecologist on the 14th of last month, he also did a breast examination, and told me all was well.

Sorry I wasnt clear enough on my question, and thanks for still trying to help. I did mean I have had 2 normal periods since the last time I had sexual intercourse. I am also on Ortho Tri Cyclen, so my periods are always regular!.

If you say you have had 2 normal periods do you mean that you
have just started having periods and are beginning puberty? Or do you mean that you have had 2 almost normal periods since the last time you had sex?

Being able to see blue veins in your breast does not mean that they are varicose veins. I have never heard of varicose veins in a women's breast.

It is not abnormal for women to have visible blue veins near the surface of their breast. If you are only 13 or 14 y/o then I don't know whether that is usual or not. You can ask the doctor at your next check up.

You must be sexually active if you are worried about pregnancy..
the only way to tell is to get a pregnancy test.

I have never heard of varicose veins being a symptom of pregnancy. Especially if you are still having your period. Call your doctor!

commonly it depends on the age and the size.. you tell you have those on both.. which means a systemic cause. it would hep us if you mentioned about yur age.. again without any cause you should see your doctor once a year after 35 yrs old.
