It does help but you have to be careful. Using too much salt can make it worse and doing it too often can sort of backfire on you. What happens is you gargle and your throat feels better for a short period of time, then when it starts hurting again, you gargle some more and pretty soon the salt has worn your throat raw. It isn't advisable to do it too often. There are lozenges and liquid medicines that can help. Ice cream always feels good for a little bit of relief or better yet, popsicles!

I didnt swallow yet i ought to flavor it and it replaced into poor! on a daily basis I did it and my mom suggested if I spit it out i'd be grounded. She wouldnt floor me for that, She's in basic terms doing it to make me gargle. I did it for some days and my sore throat replaced into more suitable useful. So, Yeah, It helps out. Do it for like, a minute two times or 3 circumstances an afternoon. reckoning on how a lot it hurts ya.

100%, salt water gargling has been proved to be an effective method that not only prevens the colonization of bacteria in the throat, but also kills a part of the existing flora.
also u may try chlorhexidine mouthwash, or diluted listerine. but remember salt water is natural and very effective

Yes it does. Also you can try gargling with vinegar, and if you can get your hands on some zinc spray, that helps too.
