Are you using the mega-expensive Similac Alimentum? Supposed to be good.
I used Enfamil AR for my reflux baby. It helped, but only a little. It's a formula thickened with rice starch, recommended by his pediatrician. The above comment about breastmilk not causing babies to spit up is bunk. I breastfed and he spit up constantly. So did a few other babies in my breastfeeding support group.
Do NOT put rice cereal in the bottle. Some tried to convince me to do so, but it is not recommended by pediatricians, for safety reasons.
Oh, I used Dr. Brown's bottles, BTW. They were great, no bubbles, which reduced gas. There are other anti-bubble bottles out there as well.

Almost all baby's spit up, and usually, even though it looks like a lot, it's actually just a little bit of the formula mixed with saliva. Ask your pediatrition what you should do, because switching formulas again and again (not that you are, just that if you were thinking about trying out all of the different suggestions to see how she does on each) could make her sick.
My son is on Prosobee Lipil, a soy-based formula by Enfamil. There are also milk-based, but lactose-free formulas, and formulas with a little bit of rice cereal pre-added so that there is something a little thicker than usual in their little stomach's, which seems to help some babies.
How old is your daughter? If she is at least 4 months, your doctor may reccomend starting her on cereal now. That is what our pediatrition did when all of the sudden my son was spitting up much more often than usual.
Good luck!

There are formulas that contain no soy, only soy, etc, etc. If you give it to her at room temperature, she won't spit up as much. Try not to move her too much after feeding. That can make her sick, too. If you don't find a solution, or the vomit is projectile (she pukes it with a great force with a distance longer than 2 feet), or she is spitting up more than an ounce, go to the doctor ASAP! She could have a digestion disorder.

All babies spit up at times, but if you think its the formula then maybe you should change it. There's Similac and Enfamil, and I'm sure a bunch of others, but those are the more popular ones. Good luck with your baby!

it's normal for babies to spit up. my baby used to spit up too almost every time after she had milk. she had similac too!
i consulted her pediatrician and he said it was completely normal.
some babies have too much milk that they can absorb, that's why they spit up some excessive amount of milk. it's completely normal.
u gotta make sure u do burp her after each feed. she'll feel much better. after i burping my baby, she still spit up a little. my baby spit up until she was around 6 months when she started solid food.
i don't think it's formula choice that caused my baby to spit up so much. it doesn't matter. now my baby is 19 months. she is active, healthy and smart! no worry!
this is my experience but i can't be sure that your baby's condition is the same as mine. consult your pediatrician. i guess they might tell u the same thing..
good luck! and don't worry. i think your baby is completely healthy

hi there iam a mum of 4 and i too had troubles with my kids as babys as they spewed up the formula i gave them i tried many but they were all bad .the only solution was cows milk .they stopped vomiting after the 2nd day.all babys are diferent but in my case my babys which my oldest is 10 and youngest 16 mths they all had the same problem but their stomach was healthy after i switched them to cows milk ..some say cows milk is no good for babys cause there is stuff missing ..but i think of it this way ..before there was powder milk what did women give babys when they could not breast feed?cows milk.
my kids have never been sick,no illnesses not even chicken pox..and none are over weight ,they are all healthy and there amune system is much stronger than any baby who has powder milk..but if your still not sure go to a doctor even though all he will do is tell u to try a diferent formula .
if your in australia good chance he will say s26.

if his spiting is either cuz the his stomach might not like the formula, try soy based, or you're simply over feeding the baby, cuz my son would spit up a lot and it wasnt the formula it was just too musch milk on his system, but the best i would just ask the pediatrician

my baby had a prolbem w/ spitting up and his dr. put him on similac Alimentum Advance it is designed for infants with food allergies or colic symptoms due to protein sensitivity. If your baby seems to be crying more often than you think is normal, and for long periods of time, he may have colic. In some babies, colic symptoms may be due to protein sensitivity. It’s good to know there is a trusted alternative when a baby is sensitive to the protein in milk-based it is stinky, but a huge change in my baby after use. ask ur dr. about this

Ask the pediatrician. There are numerous formulas out there to try. You may have to go to a soy formula. My daughters baby is on enfamil. He hardly ever spits up.

The best formula is breast milk. When my sister was young, she had that same problem and she went through four different kinds of milk before she was saved by similac alimentum.
