I have combo skin: dry around the nose and very oil forehead + nose. My skin does not look good and has a very uneven tone and acne. I've got dark circles under my eyes as well...

What foods and skin care items would be the best to take care of the acne and oiliness and how can I get it to look better? And what should I use for the dark circles, because teabags only work for a bit..

Some people just naturally have dark circles under their eyes. To fix that put a white eyeshadow under your eye and blend it in with a big powder brush. It looks silly until you blend it.

For combo skin wash and St Ives Sprocot scrub medicated. It will not dry your dry skin or oil up your oily skin. It has little scrubbers in it to get rid of dead skins cells making your face nice and smooth.

I've always had some kind of skin problem one way or the other, so here goes my peals of wisdom :)

1-The most important thing that would make a difference before anything skin products is to make sure you're eating right. If you want good skin, eat a lot of fruits and vegetables, lots of Vitamin C and E, and make sure you get enough calcium. Avoid eating junk-food and deep-fried food. Also don't eat too much spicy food or drink too much alchohol. No smoking either. Pretty much avoid anything that's bad for the liver!! and most importatly drink LOTS OF WATER!!

2-wash your face with oil-free cleanser every night. I like Neutrogena products. Use a light oil-free moisturizer afterwards. Some people also use a toner before moisterizing which might also help to remove dead dry skin.

3- If you wear make-up on your face, make sure it's a good brand and possibly oil-free. Remove it completely at night.

4- About the dry nose area: use a good exfoliating cleanser. A lot of times dry skin on a oily face is caused by dead rough skin and closed pores that prevent the skin from producing it's normal moisture. Use a light moisterizer afterwards, don't make the mistake of using an oily one because it will clog the pores even more.

5- Dark circle: again, drinking lots of water and eating the right food should make a big difference. Another big factor: make sure you're getting enough sleep consistantly!! Very important!! Also explore natural products at health stores. Just go there and ask, they have a lot to choose from.

6- Try anti-bacterial cleanser for acne. Tea tree oil is also very effective for pimples!!

7- There are rejunavating/exfoliating products that help get rid of dead old skin. That should help take care of the uneven tone of skin.

8- Always use sun-screen!!

Hope this helps :)

for dark cirlce drink a glass of apricot juice 3 times a day the pure apricot juice in a can(my hubby has drk circlkes)and cucumbers cold on the eyse help as well. For uneven tone you may want to get a skin bleaching bar soap that you can wash your face in and se if over time that will help. Drink lots of water and see a dermatologist if the acne is persistant above all dont pick it makes them worse.

if you want to actually take a medication, proactiv works well and it doesnt require a presciption. exfoliating, moisturizing and drinking lots of water helps a lot. ive tried everything for dark circles and ive yet to find something that really works if youre not willing to spend 80 bucks on a tiny bottle.
