i used to do it all the time on my CDs.... i would get the disk wet first, than rub a bit of touthpaste over the surface... rinse it all off well... dry it gently! and it worked pretty well, never tried it on a game dirk though

I've heard that. I know a 10 year old video game freak. He swears by it. I don't know though, I've never witnessed it.
